Manhattan Fire Protection District Struck by Vehicle

Manhattan, IL – Earlier today, an ambulance from the Manhattan Fire Protection District was struck by another vehicle in Bourbonnais while transporting a patient to Riverside Hospital. Fortunately, the patient who was riding in the ambulance at the time of the accident sustained no further injuries. The patient was safely transferred to Bourbonnais Fire Protection District personnel for continued transport.

The paramedics from the Manhattan Fire District were unharmed. The driver of the second vehicle involved in the collision was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
