The Manhattan Fire Protection District extends its heartfelt thanks and congratulations to Commissioner Bob Herrick, who served on the Board of Commissioners from 2007 until his retirement on December 31, 2024. A founding member of the Board, Commissioner Herrick, was instrumental in hiring full-time firefighters and helping establish a solid foundation for the district’s dedicated service to the community for over the past 17 years. During the February Board of Trustees meeting, Commissioner Herrick was acknowledged for his years of service and contributions to ensuring Manhattan’s fire protection needs were met with the highest standards.
As Commissioner Herrick steps down, the district is pleased to welcome Anton “Tony” Brncich as the new Board Commissioner. Commissioner Brncich, a local resident and business owner, was sworn in during the February 17th Board of Trustees meeting. Please join us in congratulating both Commissioner Herrick for his exceptional service and Commissioner Brncich on his new role. We look forward to his contributions to the Manhattan Fire Protection District and community.
